Willy’s was conceived as a neighbourhood restaurant with personality, transforming the ground floor of Margate House into a destination for locals and visitors alike. Inspired by familiar British comfort food, the idea was to balance nostalgia with a playful, contemporary attitude, creating a restaurant that feels confident and characterful, while never taking itself too seriously or becoming overly polished.
We created a bold, playful identity that reflects Willy’s approach to food and hospitality. Expressive typography, a rich red and pink palette and characterful graphics work alongside the interiors to create a distinctive brand world. From menus and signage to digital and communications, every touchpoint balances refinement with humour, giving this Margate neighbourhood restaurant an unmistakable personality of its own.
