Glut
In 2019 I met Sammi Mahfouz in a Burger restaurant in London where he talked me through his ambition to conquer an already saturated market with
a mouth-watering, sinfully good menu inspired by America.
The Solution
Working closely with illustration agency ‘I love dust’ I briefed them to create a fresco style piece that depicted a modern day version of the seven deadly sins. The colour palette (obviously inspired by the American flag) was used in a way that didn’t make the brand feel like a pastiche of Americana. Within a month of opening Glut was the number one restaurant in Oxford on Tripadvisor
